That’s a wrap on our time in the iconic outback gem - Broken Hill. Australia’s first heritage listed town in Far West NSW well exceeded our expectations and found its way into our hearts.

This historic mining town is full of character, culture, heritage architecture and a vibrant art scene, set against the backdrop of a vast desert landscape, open skies and epic outback sunsets.

Things to do in Broken Hill:

🥤Bell’s Milk Bar – take a step back in time to one of Australia’s oldest milk bars and grab a classic milkshake.
🎨Explore one of the many art galleries – our favourites were Pro Hart and The Big Picture, the world’s largest acrylic painting
🪨Living Desert Sculptures – wander through the outdoor sandstone art installation. Stay overnight at the Starview Campsite, explore the walking trails, mineral deposits, and don’t miss the star view seats 🌌
🌅Line of Lode Lookout – watch the sunset over the city and read about the town’s mining past.
🏜️Day trip to Silverton – Visit the Mad Max Museum, check out Emu Man Gallery, grab a bite at the Silverton hotel and catch sunset at Mundi Mundi Lookout.
🎤💃Palace Hotel -Live music, Drag Bingo and iconic wall murals + film location for Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Today marks 5 years since we completed the South C

Today marks 5 years since we completed the South Cape Bay Trail - 16km return to the southern most point of Australia.
Starting at Cockle Creek we made our way up rocky hills and through marshlands before reaching the incredible and rugged beach. It was a surreal moment standing on the edge of the country and looking out to the wild seas, knowing there is nothing between you and Antarctica.
This was our first long hike in Tasmania and one of our most favourite memories.

Guess who’s back? Back again?

It’s has been a very LONG time between posts!!

It’s 2025 and we are back on the road 😊

Early December we said goodbye to Adelaide and hit the road full-time for the 2nd time. The call of the open road was too strong and we are excited to be back.
This time we have some new additions - Frankie (The Ford) & Charlie (The Crusader)- a slight upgrade on our previous set up and it’s fair to say we are in love 😍

The past 7 weeks we have been finding our rhythm and adjusting to life back on the road. It’s fair to say it’s been an easy transition and days have been filled with sunrises and sunsets, exploring epic landscapes and being surrounded by nature.

We will be posting more often where we’ve been and what adventures we get up to but for now just wanted to say hi 👋🏼 and hope to catch you on the road. 😊

We made our way inland from Margaret river to the peaceful Shannon National Park. We based ourselves at the Shannon campground and had our pick of the sites. We opted for a cool shady spot to escape the hot days.
If in the area be sure to explore :-

*Gloucester NP and it’s famous lookout tree…at 53 metres high…we opted to not climb!!

*Big Brook State Forest and the Karri Forest Explorer Drive takes you through some of the best Karri forest you will find in the south west.

*Big Brook Dam - best picnic table location on a hot summers day.
